W101 & W201's were made in around 1956-1958 by Pye-Technico in Sydney, I had an W201C, The C was as in console with an 21" CRT.

The 2 6N3 rectifiers were mounted on a bracket on the power transformer along with the voltage adjustment switch, The set also had an removable power cord similar to the interlocks found on most US sets of that vintage where you had to remove the power cord before you could take the back off the set to service the chassis.

Yep I just aquired a Pye W201 and it does indeed have the 6n3 rectifiers on the transformer.



I was hoping you guys could help me out with some further info, I have documented all the tubes in the set but there is one I cannot identify due to the fact that the silkscreening has come off. Does any one know where I can find a scematic for this old bugger?

There is a whole heap of stuff to go through there!
I'm waiting on a 6al3 tube to finish of the power supply and than I can fire this puppy up to see what needs some love'n. Hopefully it fires right up without a hassel, but I'll keep searching for that schematic, sooner or later I'm gonna need it.
