I could see a working SuperBetaHiFi going for $500 on a good day on ebay.....ED Beta decks are even more expensive.

Generally working front loaders rate like this (cheapest to most valuable): Standard monophonic model, BetaHiFi, SuperBetaHiFi, ED Betamax.

I have yet to find a Beta that works. I've bought about 8 over the years and not a single one worked properly.

ones that work get good prices these days, most don't work unless the belts have been replaces at least. I just got one at goodwill, turns out it doesn't work either.. but hopefully its something simple.

Holy cats said the kitty.

I hope its a typo for his sake.He will never get rid of it.

$10131.33 US dollars according to the conversion from Canadian dollars.

Probably would get it if the VCR belong to a VIP.

Guess I'm very lucky then I've got 2 working betamax camcorders Toshiba and NEC (same machine with different badges). Both were fairly cheap, and the batteries in the Toshiba can actually hold a decent charge yet.

Can't say I've seen many of those but the 2/3 (the third went for more than I wanted to spend) I've had chance to get and test are solid units.

Of course I REALLY got lucky on my SuperBetaHiFi deck...It was $5 in the not working pile of a local electronic parts/junk/surplus shop, but aside from the 2X, 1.5X, still step trick play buttons (which are not absolutely necessary) not working, it otherwise functions perfectly.

Hahahaha.Great news.

I still got my Superbeta Hifi here on the side.I have to fire it up and give it some movement.I bought it new in 1987 and got 12 years use out of it until the beta supply ran out.

Anyone know where to get belts for old Beta decks? I have a few Sanyo decks that need new tape loading belts.
