'82 Sony CVM-1250 color TV/monitor
I had this Sony CVM-1250 Trinitron color TV/monitor given to me today by a friend who obtained it in a massive load of stuff he purchased.
This is a 12" set housed in a wooden cabinet and says "for commercial use only" on the rear cover. The monitor connections are made via BNC connectors on the rear, as well as a VTR plug. For the exception of very dirty controls, this TV seems to work well with a strong CRT. Unfortunately, there are some trim/decal pieces missing from the front that I will likely never be able to find; but, I think the rest of the set will clean up OK. I figure these were most likely used by schools for in-house video productions, etc. Here's a video I made of the set, showing more details: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kp2Su7Us5gA

Hi,
Very nice TV/monitor. Once cleaned up and gone thru, this Sony will likely be a terrific performer. As long as the CRT has good emission & the color channels track evenly, it has potential to look really good. Sad about the trim pieces... I have a few 12" trinitrons from the 70s with missing Sony logos and decals. A quality CRT will keep on emitting photons long after the glue for its decals have worn out |
