Interesting that first article talks about the RCA and Westinghouse having different sized screens, 14 and 12-1/2 inches respectively. Did these sets not both use the 15GP22 (or comparable prototype CRT)?
Just a confused mix of different manufacturers PR. Both had 12 1/2 inch pictures, but some press releases stated the over-all tube size. Where 14 came from (instead of 15) I have no idea.
