AM 960 out of Salisbury, MD does the all-comedy, a nice change of pace. I hope that format works out in the long run.

Right now, just the quiet traffic in the distance. I have no radios or TV sets turned on.
Yesterday or Friday were much more interesting. I just finished restoring a Hallicrafters SX-42 communications receiver and was listening to a baseball game on AM, pop songs on FM, international music and New Zealand's news on shortwave broadcasts, even a few hams on SSB on the 40 meter band. It is a nice radio.

I almost hate to admit it but I was cruising youtube and listening to some old live rock shows and came across some old Cars videos. Man, those guys were tight live! Especially the clips that Ben Orr sang lead on. Then came across the 6 part interview made with the group, 4 months before Ben died. Really sad, but he lived life to the end, cancer or not.

NPR ~ KASU 91.9MHz in Jonesboro, AR
They went off the air yesterday and now sound like they are running on just the exciter (weakened signal) and are also off frequency.

WVTK is running some other program on Saturday nights now, so I have to settle for Absolutey 80s with Nina Blackwood. Her voice sure got a lot worse since the last time I listened! The local station, WNCL, carries the AT40 70s on Saturday AM but there's a local classic country show on at the same time and we usually listen to that. WNCL does the AT40 80s show Sunday night so I usually listen to that.
Earlier tonight I was in the back listening to the original recording of Lee Arnold on a Country Road from something like June 16, 1986. I love those shows.

Being at work, MUSIC is on a 1948 Motorola 5-tube or 1949 Zenith 6-tube bakelite set, depending which cube I'm in.
Here, the only decent AM station, WHYL 960 plays vintage (mostly 60s) top 40. The 70s stuff just reminds me of when I started getting these Veteran sets singing again, brings tears to yer eyes. Once home after dark, only 740 AM from Toronto has the music. Otherwise, records spin and play through tubes. I really miss WNEW NYC, WKNR Cleveland and WKBW Buffalo...
