Please see my post in Tube Audio section. Has anyone done this to classic console to make unit a High End custom tube amp hi- fi unit/ classic radio. I'm probaly going to do this as my 1930 zenith I've had is VERY LOUD and has LOTS of power I can tell from boominess. There's a phono input from factory originally I can use to use as input for anything from phono to MP3 player using preamp for later. the AM band is mostly obsolete were I'm at because of NO music or entertainment on AM band. Only listen to news 2-4 times /week in morning. Seems such a waste not to use restored set much. Just think, a high end Tube amp that doubles as a classic radio!!
