Hurricane Irma Live Stream
I plan to, if I can even keep it up long enough, to live stream Irma from my house.
Would anyone be interested in seeing it? I won't be talking or anything but it'll have sound. If you heard anything it'll probably be me interacting with the EOC on radio. But I'll be in a different room of the house. |

Awesome. I honestly have no idea how long I can keep the internet up for. For Matthew I had it up for 12 hours before the internet dropped.

I just came back from Lakeland last night. Was supposed to stay through Saturday but couldn't risk getting stranded....or worse.
When I was there, I checked into the Eagle net on the NI4CE repeater system, and listened to the Skywarn net just after on Tuesday night. They're holding emergency Skywarn/ARES training sessions for hams down there right up till the storm hits. Stay safe.....

Is it possible for you to stream it FOR A LITTLE WHILE ANYWAY using WMP?? (Easiest way for me to see things)
In case you dont know wmp uses .WMV or .MPG or .AVI containers |

No, I am only streaming it on YouTube. I am using OBS, and a Linux computer. If I use any other method I have to serve it from my own connection, I would rather YouTube re-stream it from theres so the impact is not on my connection.

Equipment is ready for live streaming. Just ran a little test today, and it worked, got sound working, but it's not very loud.. But that's ok, better than nothing.

The storm surge appears to be going right over Bill Cahill in St. Petersburg
I called him and left a message this morning. I sure hope he bugged out.

The live stream has started. Perhaps a couple days early, but apparently the winds have already picked up from the outer bands and caused some damage already, wow.
