CTC 100 Tuner on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=6139322524
Saw this while searching for a tv for myself. Normaly I don't post ebay stuff but nobody has touched this thing and the 100 is such a rare set I'm sure somebody needs or wants this tuner. |

WRONG chassis #!!!!
That should be CT-100 , (or CTC-2,) NOT CTC 100(which would be about a 1979 or 1980 model tv.!!(and nearly worthless!!(I'm not sure there IS a ctc-100).

Ct-100?
This vintage 50's tuner is stamped KRK-12. The CT-100 used the KRK-12C tuner. They are similar. The "C" may indicate use in the color chassis. I'm not sure of the exact difference. The high end RCA b&w sets used the KRK series tuners in 1954.

Was that the only set that used this knob? I could look through what I have (I just added a bunch to my knob stash) but the chances of a genuine CT-100 being scrapped by one of the repairman who gave me these is pretty slim.

The outer knob I have, what I need is the channel number inset. Watch and see, the final price on this thing will leave many saying

Tim,
I realy don't think that's the CT-100 tuner or knobs. I don't see the channel insert in the picture or the brass circle in the center of the CT-100 channel insert. It may be from the 21CT55 CTC-2B model or as I said in an earlier post, it may be off one of RCA's b&w models. Steve

The CTC-2 chassis is what's used in the CT-100, the CTC-1 chassis is rumored to exist as a test rig as memory recalls. The KRK-12 is definitely a CT-100 tuner, assuming that's what it is. If you look carefully inside, you can see what I believe is the channel insert, which is really the part I need, the rest is useless to me.
I'm gonna look over my CT chassis well when I get home to confirm.

Well I'm really bent about this
I sold one of these kits a couple years ago, new in the box and didn't get near this much and it's still got 3+ days to go! |

I could care less about the tuner, it's the center channel indicator knob I'm bidding on. I bought the last one on eBay that sold for just about as much as my current bid.

Just in case anyone is interested, the KRK-12 tuner was used on the black and white sets as Steve D. stated and were the 12A and 12B. The first use of the KRK-12 on a color set was in RCA's prototype Model 4. It was then used on the Model5, CT-100 and the 21-CT-55. Sorry Kam, this info still doesn't get you that channel insert!

The one I sold had the knob but it was not exactly the same as a CT-100, the center had different markings. Looks like the one on eBay is the same way. It would still function fine tho.
P.S. I wasn't really bent, that was just supposed to be me trying to be humorous |
