collins 75s1
well today was our local annual spring hamfest that i try to attend every chance i can.the lastime i went i came home with a kenwood r100 but this time i came home with something much more better.as alot of you know i've been wanting and yearning for a collins receiver for the longest time and even though i filled that dream it wasnt a tubed collins so today when i walked through the doors the first thing i spotted was a collins 75s1 receiver and my eyes nearly popped out of my sockets as going to the local ham fests for the last 20 yrs i have never seen a collins offered for sale.well after some negotiating the collins is now mine and i'm listening to the collins collectors net on 20 meters.the receiver needs some cleaning on the inside and the switches could use some deoxit but other than that its working fine .there were also a pr of hammerlund hq 170's and a few other boatanchors also available but i blew my money on the collins.heres some eye candy for you boatanchor nuts.

Like I said Over Yonder, I like somethin' I can pick up BCB with, but I certainly wouldn't turn me nose up at one of these...
