Found an RCA console model K60

I found this small RCA console at a garage sale tonight. I gave $20.00 for it. It is in very good condition with only a few scratches here and there. It looks all original except the cord. It has a movable Magic antenna in the base. It appears to be from around 1939 to 1941. The tubes are octal base which surprised me for a radio this old. I know it will need a recap. It has 6 tubes which seems like a small amount for a console. Are these decent performers when they are working right? I like the fact that it doesnt take up too much space.

Octals were introduced in 1935-36, by RCA in fact, so their use in this radio
is just what one would expect. This should work fine on AM, IMHO. Just
post the tube numbers so we can determine whether it has an RF stage.
Regards.

The tube #s are 5y3g which would be the rectifier 6H6,6SA7,6SF5,6K7 and 6F6G.
