Zenith Royal 64 no power

Hello. I have a Zenith Royal 64 all-transistor radio that I bought in the summer of 2017 for $10. Recently, I have turned it on and haven't gotten anything out of it. Could you help me diagnose this problem? I tried new batteries and same result.

A few easy things. IF the radio is stone cold dead plug an ear phone in.
If you get sound its almost always the speaker.

Check the battery box for corrosion & broken wires.

ON/OFF switch. There are 2 wires on the rear of it. Put another wire
between them & see if it comes on.

Beyond that you will need a schematic, multy meter & luck !
When looking for the schematic use the CHASSIS number. Its on a tag
inside the radio.

73 Zeno
LFOD !

If that Zenith is anything like the Royal 66, it uses a dual switching arrangement. It has four wires on the switch and uses a tapped power supply.

It's located in Sams TSM73. It looks like it runs on 2 "D" cells, 3 volts.
You'd have to see if anyone has a TSM73.
