Finding Panasonic Replacement Remote EUR7724020

Hi All,
I have a Panasonic model PV-DF2704 (c. 2004), remote model EUR7724020 TV given to me for my patio. After one very humid night the remote became dead. It didn't get wet or even because of the high humidity but it's dead. Of course the VCR has not worked in quite sometime, so those functions on the remote are no longer necessary. Just wondering if there might be a list (or suggestion) of the remote models that will work for the TV? Original part # is expensive. If I can only access the TV menu I'd be fine. I can't see anyway to get at the menu without the remote. Is there a way? I have my Direct-TV cable running into the set and the signal is over-driving the video circuits...too bright and washed-out. Thanks in advance for anyone's 2˘.

A universal remote MAY work but things like menu & deeper functions
often dont work. The alternative is to find an OEM remote from the same era.

With combos ( TV-VCR etc) most were NOT built by the name they were
sold under. This complicates things. BUT all the Panasonic / Quasar combos
I remember were built by them so remote codes should match up.

BTW the Panny combos were the best. The first ones were either Samsung
or Gold Star. They were also pretty good at first but MFG's like
Funai drove the quality down with there low priced junk.

I have purchased replacement remotes for Sony products on eBay. You might try that or Craigslist.
