i own sevral of those older philco and zenith radio consoles from the 40s. its hard to find one thats not in horrible condition, but they are fairly reliable units, most of mine have worked and givin what they are, in all fairness, the sound quality isnt half bad! especially when you get one with a aux/phono hookup. its intresting to hear booty bass gangsta rap blaring out of a 70 year old radio.
