Just to bring up a point Steve and I had speculated on in the past --brought up by the interesting 'NBC' on the 21AXP22A. The unusual preface 'B111' to CT-100 serial numbers (only a handful are known, the bulk begin with B800) may be associated with 'special handling and performance' for networks. I can document one B111 CT-100 (caretakership of Bob Galanter) that goes back deep into CBS in Manhattan in the 1950's.

Perhaps someone can confirm or debunk.
