Picked up a Craig mini tape recorder today.
Found this for $9 so I couldn't pass it up. The rubber wheels seem to be in very good shape and the battery box is clean so maybe it'll work.
It's a non capistan type recorder so pretty much only recordings made on it will play back at the correct speed, or at least somewhat close since these tended to be very imprecise at holding speed. Wish it had come with a reel of tape but oh well. |

IIRC, the speed on these varied with the amount of tape on the take-up reel, so no splicing allowed or you would get really strong speed mismatch.

I have a "Penncrest" very similar to this one..Wish I had the mike for it.. My "Penncrest" works on 2 "C" cells & a 9 volt transistor battery..
