This reminds me of the 6JE6 that had been mounted into an octal socket and installed in place of the 6CD6(?) horizontal output in my RCA CT-100 when I got it. Maybe it made sense years ago, but now it is much cheaper to get the real tube for a CT-100 than a 6JE6.
