Meaning of letter "R" in model number R-70?

I have a Zenith model R-70 AM/FM transistor portable radio, made for Zenith in Korea in 1980. Well built, sounds great and brings in lots of stations (especially at night on AM), like all Zeniths. However, I am wondering what, if anything, the "R" in the model number stands for. My best guess is "Royal", although I doubt if that's it as I think Zenith stopped production of its "Royal" line of radios back in the '60s or early '70s.

Zenith. Gone, but not forgotten.
