Looks lika a CTC-15 clone chassis, so it would be from about 1963-64.

Well, with nothing to do but relax, I decided to check her out. Took the back off and rocked each tube, to make contact,And snap. the 6gu7 (gy blanker fell apart)replaced that. cleaned a little soot from hv cage, flyback looks new. checked the lytics, they were good. THE FLAME TEST!! brought the voltage up slowly over 2 hrs, and watched and waited, at about 60v ihear snow, 75 i hear channel 16 from south bend, at 100, I HAVE PICTURE horizontal is off, and verticle is off, for about the first hour, the vert and horiz are reel tweeky. after 2 hrs vert is fine, and colors are fantastic, the horiz is still real flaky, I can pull over the air with no problem, but if I try vcr or dvd, the horizontal goes crazy, along with the chroma circuits. no doubt a good cleaning, and some new tubes and a couple caps, I will have a nice set.
i will post pix

All of that circuitry sure has been shrunk down as the years went by.

The Only Signal Is Provided By A Piece Of Coax, 3 Ft Long, Just Imagine If It Were Hooked To Cable, The Crt Is Very Strong, It Took For Ever To Get A Sharp Pix, This Set Was Sitting About 38 Years, The Picture Keeps Getting Better And Better. Its Been So Long Since I Have Watched A Real Color Tv, I Forgot Just How Real The Colors Look. Still Some Work To Go, But Its Worth It.

This is the fun part-going from nothing to a picture-a color picture-finally, a GOOD color picture! The great thing about these is that they are a tinkerer's delight. You can always find a knob to turn or screw to adjust that will make it just a LITTLE bit better.

Judging by cabinet design, are you sure the previous owners didn't mean the set was "used ON the show Bonanza", not just to watch it?
Looks like it would have been at home on the Ponderosa.

And another one!
Just bought this Philco for $25 and now I know what I have. Picking it up next week. Looks cataract free and swivels to boot for easier servicing. That helps as it does not work.
Edison...does yours use the standard RCA tube lineup for a CTC15 or is it more Philco oriented? Meaning less common tubes. (enlarged photo has digital junk that looks like cataracts) Stay tuned. Dave A
