Yikes! I wonder how that pot took a hit? If you can't find the correct/exact pot, you may be able to replace the element with one from another pot. I.E. if the "new" pot has a brass shaft etc., maybe you can just substitute the element from that one. Some of the brands may be close enough in physical dimensions that you can "make it fit" if your location attempts are futile.
Just a thought. Seems as though you are getting somewhere now.
