Planning to fire up the CTC-5 again. What vintage set will you be watching?

With those two teams, I am not even watching the game this year. Probably the first one since about 1983 that I have skipped.

A few instances of expensive dead air this year. Don't think it was local, either. Oops.

Had a whole group of friends over, watched the game on my Zenith System 3 console. Did not think to take a picture while the game was on, unfortunately. Still, the set worked flawlessly, as it has in years past. I have the sound all going through my stereo though - it's amazing the depth the good sound can give you with a sporting event.

I had my 1964 Zenith 19" BW L2018 on. Should have pulled one of the Philco sets in for this, had I known it was going to be an historic event.

Feeding the signal to your CTC-5 with that indoor rabbit ears? Nice reception.

33.5 miles direct line of site to Mount Bigelow, but the TV is on the far side of the house, with stucco construction, so I was pleasantly surprised that an amplified indoor antenna would work.

Yes - I agree, those early S3s had the audio output.
Just try to match THAT with a sound bar on a flat-panel.
