Send me your email adress per pm. I have the schematics for the Metz 408/3D and for 410/3D. I think, with them you can estimate how to fix the Metz 409/3D.

You might post the question at antiqueradios.com - there are European members that might be able to help. I found the model at radiomuseum.org, but no schematic listed there.
