zenith 25MC36 fine tuning problem
the fine tuning in my zenith has randomly stopped working so since that happened, I can't tune in the color. anybody got any ideas??

Bad wishbone? It's a "yoke" that slides a gear into the fine tuning slug in the tuner. Zenith was famous for bad wishbones. I may have one. The gear teeth get eaten, but some might still mesh.
34-?? WAS the part number, but Zenith went and made it 834- or 800 - something, like the kits. We ordered them in 10's from Bluefield Distributing in the 80s. Our tube caddy had a couple for house calls. Zeno? - Any recall of the part number??? He's know for sure.

Yes some of them used a small thick belt. There was
also a wish bone & a diaper pin style. Cant remember the part numbers but we used to go through lots of 834-?? on the non SGVG sets & other brands. That was all plastic. Best to drop the tuner & take a pix of the FT assy. 73 Zeno LFOD ! |
