Webster-Chicago Model 165-1A
Does anyone hear have any info on this changer? I was wondering when this model was made but haven't been able to learn anything about it. I brought this back from Texas last year. Everything works but it sometimes slows down when running at 33 1/3 RPM, so I know I probably have an idler issue at that speed. The unit has 2 idlers, one for 78 RPM and the other for 33 1/3 RPM. I'm guessing this to be from around 1949, am I even close?

If it's only 33 and 78, '48-'49 would be about right. the two-speed changers went away quickly, as soon as the 45 rpm record was introduced in '49.

it is 33 and 78. Someday I'll find one of the amps for this.

Is it just the changer mech or is it a complete accessory phono attachment?
I have a W/C amp but I have no plans to sell short of being offered a small mountain of cash...

It's just a 2-speed changer. I used to see the amps from time to time but haven't seen one in years.
