Chip inside 70s tv
Can anyone identify this and can they still be found? When I pulled it out, it says "amp" on the socket. I'd like to replace it since there's corrosion and a couple pins are broke.

I'd guess "AMP" just means it's an Amphenol brand socket.

like so there is a high chance the socket is also toast, and needs to be replaced as well.

Chip made by RCA. Looks like a Sylvania part ## & that can be crossed in TCG, NTE, ECG, etc. PCB also looks Sylvania. also.
And yes solder it in. There was one Sylvania chip that went DISCO at abt ten yrs. Hope its not that one. 73 Zeno LFOD ! |
