b&k dyna quik tube tester

hello all, is there anyone out here that knows alittle about these tube testers? i have change the caps some resistors but one day it started to show shorts for all good tubes and the needle dont drop on the gas test and i cannot seem to figure whats wrong with it. its a b&k 500

Make sure it isn't in a damp envirement. The leakage test is very sensitive on that model. The inside of the case is raw plywood and will pick up moisture. I sprayed the inside with clear Krylon and the problem wasn't as severe. The best thing to do is turn the tester on about a half hour before using it. See if it works properly them.

i even went over everything i did a year earlier but found nothing,and the short light when i first got it it for sure needed the cap for the short light and it fixed that problem but its doing it again. it is not in a damp area, its in my kitchen,lol.
