Best bet with wet sets is dry them off fast. Open them up
& use a hair drier. For the set in question a pic is worth a thousand words. 73 Zeno LFOD ! |

The hairdryer method is what I use along with a fan. Ive gotten way too used to having to dry out all sorts of electronics. Everything from TVs to macbooks.
Hopefully my pictures attached. I haven’t had much time to Mess with this set since I’ve been trying, and failing, to get some 50s tube sets going. |

horz hold is off. IIRC its a coil so you may have to go beyond
a stop. Turn direction of less lines til the pic pops in 73 Zeno LFOD ! |

Thank you! I will have to clear a spot and try to adjust this some more. Did the hold fail because caps have drifted to other values possibly?

Could be drift or if any little kids were around they may be to blame.
Even adults would mess them up. We used to get tons of them in back in the good times. Since we ran up to 3 weeks behind if I thought that was it I would quickly adj it & send it home. Very few came back. All done for free. 73 Zeno LFOD ! |

The only thing i don't like is how this tv does not have a focus control. That may or may not be an issue, but that will be determined later. |
