Northern Electric "Midge"
Acquired this on Friday for $10. It's an early 50's Northern Electric 'Midge' 5808. Made in Canada. A little dusty here, but the marbled brown bakelite still shows through a little even as found. I expect it will clean up nicely. It appears to be in excellent condition except for the missing dial knob which was made of clear plastic and was big enough to cover the numbers. I guess I'm now looking for one of those.
I haven't opened it yet and it looks like it might have never been opened before. The cardboard on the back doesn't have any signs of warping or bending at all. I can see some mini tubes inside and from the schematic it has 5.
