Amateur TV station from 1942

Never heard of this!!! A friend sent me the link to a sale at "Mercado Livre" ( kinda of a Brazilian Ebay ) of a lot of radio magazines from the 1936 - 1943 period, and there's THIS cover!!! Some guy built an amateur TV station in Brazil in 1942!!! That changes History, because until now it was believed that the first amateur built TV station in this country was from 1948 ( and regular commercial broadcasts only started in 1950 ). There was also a TV demonstration in Rio de Janeiro in 1939, but that was organized by the German post office. I wish I could buy this magazine, but it is part of a lot and the price is way too high!
