Mystery eye tube - ID help

I have an eye tube here and I can't read the markings. Looks like it has a 9 in it and there are no eye tube numbers like that, that I know of.

It's a GT type, 6 pins, Magnavox branded. It looks much like a 6U5 with the 'eye' in the end of the tube.

Any guesses?

This Site Shows a few 6 pin 6E5-like tubes... 3 of them have a 9 in the identifier:

I can't get a direct link to the right page, so select "base diagrams" in the left column. There is also a fun page describing construction of a one tube radio, using an eye tube, under "projects".
