Don't believe I've ever seen this set before...

What is it? The one on the top. This came from a post on the Facebook TV group.

Obviously not complete, but man would I love to own one that was!!!!

Air King maybe?

It's a "Trans-Vue"... Those cabinets are listed on minneapolis craigslist. Looks like some rare sets were parted for the cabinets - a shame.

" I will be listing many more in the coming weeks as I clear out the estate of a retired repairman"

Maybe someone should contact him and ask him to keep an eye out for the chassis and other parts.

All electronics safely removed he said so did he do it himself? That middle one is cool too. Oh I see in his ad he says the top one is sold probably to a tanker

I should like to contact the seller with an unsolicited question!
Who was the stupid who parted out these fine sets?
I cannot believe that the repairman is responsable.
I don`t see a reason to strip the chassis and keeping the cabins.
What TV repairmen stored are mostly unrepaired, neverending
troubleshooted sets but no parted out empty cabins.

Seller says he will "be listing complete collectible sets as well as empty cabinets"
And that these came from the "estate of a retired repairman" so I can only assume they were found this way, otherwise why would he be listing complete sets also?

Maybe because someone contacted him and told him he was destroying semi valuable antiques for pennies on the dollar with his almost criminally stupid destruction of those sets , the only way to get a fishtanker to see the light is to make him think it's more valuable intact .

Yep , every so often when a collector dies , the sets go to other appreciative collectors , and every so often again some moron gets them who has no clue what they are , just like these poor sets .

Maybe the seller is unable to realize that these cabin-less chassis` laying around will fit into the empty cabins.
It is common that collectors have unrepaired disassambled sets laying around!
If the knobs are laying around on a third place.......

Yep, I contacted the seller a couple weeks ago and was told that these cabinets were found this way as part of the repairmans estate. This same seller has been listing some of the smaller items on ebay under user name gooddogdeals.

Wow, I'd love to have those sets with the Blue cabinets, I'm don't know what brand they are, possibly a GE on the one furthest away?

The set at the far end is a General Electric 17", then the third one from the far end is a Zenith I think, with the channel selector on the top corner.
There's couple of the fat Philco Seventeeners.

I have that exact same RCA that's 2nd from the left.

Eric, You might consider firing off an email. This seller has been selling off the radios from this same collection on ebay, so there's a chance they would ship these smaller TV's. I honestly don't think there's a very good market for these around here, which I believe is reflected in the asking prices. Or if you can make the deal, I'd even consider picking them up for you and arranging shipping. Just keep in mind that it's a good 200 mile round trip from my place to the seller. But I'm game if you are.

Thank you Kevin but I don't really want to deal with buying long distance from CL.
Plus I don't have a lot of room left in any case.
