I wonder if a sledge hammer was included with set purchase?

That might be a good 21AXP22 getting the hammer

Wonder if UL even did the "Pin Test" on metal cone CRTs.... The standard that I remember (UL-1418) said to place the end of the pin a specified distance (1/8"?) behind the frit bead before striking it. Anybody remember how metal cone CRTs were set up for testing?

I've done the "Uzi Test" on a few CRTs...They all failed....Rather spectacularly & impressively, I might add...

My Philco TV-123 has the same ribbed trim strip above the mask and the side space where the chassis used to be looks the same also. About the same width as the TV-123 using the width of the mask on the side as a measuring estimate. But the cabinet is not the same as the surviving sets and the dates are later. Close but no cigar.

when I was in BOCES TV school back in high school we each got to bust a picture tube of our own outside the building in the dumpster with a long metal pipe..... Just peek over the top and hit the neck.... almost none of us hit the neck..... but we did get to sweep the parking lot for the rest of the class.... (I kid you not, me and my brother often laugh for hours at the stuff we all did and lived through that are not allowed or deemed not safe anymore.) Oh... the good old days.... metal dash boards.... pointed protruding radio knobs... sitting close to the tv screen... yup.... Without youtube you just had to bust one to see what happens for yourself.... If I was in that school the year before, they were doing field trips to the picture tube rebuilder a few miles away... But the year before the company went "down the tubes" as the boss said... "not the way it use to be and not worth it". 1979.
