Panacoustic transcription record player/PA system

Here's a Panacoustic (made by U.S. Recording Company of Washington, DC) transcription record player from 1959. Cosmetically, the only things wrong is that someone removed the mounting bolts that hold the speaker in place and there's a panel missing that conceals a storage area (I could make a new panel, if I wanted to).

The amp looks decent and uses a single 6V6 output tube, with an 89T cartridge (that I'll convert to something else). It also has an ElectroVoice microphone with it. 89T's are getting scarce and much too expensive these days.

I don't know anything about U.S.Recording Company, except that they built talking book record players for the blind, during the '50's.

Since this unit has a long tonearm and since the arm rest will move out of the way, it will play the larger 16" records.

Everything looks good but the kiddie phono turntable.
Large power and output transformers, quality speaker and Tung-Sol tubes.
I like the idea of the 5Y3 rectifier, instead of a 6X5, which calls for a more expensive power transformer.
BTW, what tube is behind the 6AU6, a 6SL7?

I like the way they mounted the fuse holder under the turntable. You had to remove the turntable to replace the fuse.
Probably saved a few power transformers.
