BRIONVEGA TS 502 radio Am Fm

The Brionvega TS-502 can receive two bands: the normal AM broadcasting and the FM band. Inside it there are two receivers with the shared Audio Frequency circuit. The radio looks like a double cube form, realized with two ABS plastic boxes. The receiver High Frequency section is inside the right box and the Audio section with the speaker is located on the left one. In the hinges, provided with appropriate grooves, pass the junction cables that connect the two boxes. When closed, the radio looks like a rounded parallelepiped, opened the two boxes are blocked in the back by a little magnet. The speaker is an Italian IREL and together with a well planned audio amplifier, it gives a "warm" and really pleasant sound.
Now i must repaired and as soon as possible put another photos.

The restoration work will announce some difficult. should be replaced all the electrolytic capacitors, substitutes the link between the two boxes, removed the oxidation, the polished case and replace the screws.

Here is the finished restoration, the object is returned in good condition especially inside, you can see in the photos: the magnet for the locking of the cubes, with the telescopic antenna ball behind for guidance, the sockets for speaker and power (9Vcc) exterior.

Smile brion-vega

I think it should need some more aestetical attention, then it could come back ti its beautiful shape..
dovresti insistere con la pasta abrasiva per rimuovere la parti ingiallite..
ne ho una identica bianca, e il risultato č stato eccellente.
suonano anche bene ste radio!

ciao
