Radio Shack VTVM?
I recently purchased an old OLSON Model TE-208 VTVM. This appears to be the same as a Radio Shack (Micronta) Model 22-025.
Can anyone direct me to a schematic? There isn't much unusual about this VTVM, but I hate tracing out circuits, especially through wafer switches and I do not look forward to drawing them out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Steve |

The 22-025 isn't a VTVM, it's a transistor tester.

Radio Shack re-used some numbers that were on Micronta branded items.

Well I found a manual for a 22-025 but it's not this unit. I can find no reference to the Olson number.
I am almost 100% sure it will be just like an EICO or Heath unit. In fact my friend has an Olson unit that acted strange on Ohms. I checked it and saw that the scale was wrong on the Ohms range. Nobody caught it, I guess. |

Looks like Radio Museum has the schematic: http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/micron_..._025_vtvm.html

I might have a lead on an OLSON TE-208 manual ($13) from manualman.com, but there is no picture available to see if the manual has a schematic. I have an email in to pete@manualman.com to learn more. Has anyone purchased anything from manualman.com who can recommend them? -Steve |

Update: Pete@manualman.com does not have an OLSON manual. Just a cross reference to the Micronta. From what I have seen from the schematic clip on the Radio Museum site, my OLSON TE-208 circuit and PCB does NOT match the Micronta 22-025 schematic. Also, the pictures show a different parts layout. Back to the drawing board - literally.
Thanks to all for your help anyway. -Steve |
