General Electric TR803 8" portable

I got this set recently from an estate sale. It appears to have been built in late 1964 or early 1965.

"Manufactured in the United States using some selected imported components." The CRT, yolk, and electrolytic capacitors are from Japan. Most of the transistors and transformers appear to be US made. An interesting set as there weren't too many small portable solid state sets made in the US.

Nice catch. Rare set, I think I have only seen one. And it is a GE
build, not a relabeled rice box like most little SS sets then.

I've got the black version of that set. They are interesting.
