Selenium rectifier for GE Portable...

Just recapped this small GE 1950’s TV, model 14T017.
Not sure about the rectifier, looks bad, paint is peeling off it...
All I have in the way of silicon diodes are N4007’s, would one of those work?

Yes I've done that on one of those exact sets and it works fine with a direct swap...

Be careful about polarity. The + end of the old selenium is confusingly the - end of the new diode.

Thanks Tom, appreciate the confirmation, and the polarity advise, will make sure!
