Andy,
Can anybody cross 32-8881-1/2 to a Thordarson number? My book may be older and a replacement is not listed. The 32-8853-1 crosses to a Thordarson FLY 196. I do not have that one. polaraman |

I have one, but I don't know if it is good. It was pulled off of a penthouse chassis. But first, how did you determine that yours was bad? A lot of people throw them out because they "look" bad. That's the way they all look! They crack and melt, but they seldom go bad. That comes from my experience with about a dozen sets, and from the experience of someone else who repaired and restored about 200 of the sets.

That's pretty ugly. It might still work though. You can have my flyback for the cost of shipping. I have no good reason to think that it's bad. It sure looks prettier than the one you have. I can put it on a Sencore ringer and see what it says. That might be instructive as far as comparing to the test you did on yours.
I also have a Predicta flyback that's missing the high voltage donut, if anybody has any use for that. I need to clean house and get rid of some of this stuff. I just get really frustrated dealing with people that give me a hard time, when I'm trying to be helpful. Ken Last edited by Ken M; 03-28-2005 at 06:52 PM. |

The flyback I have is a 32-8881-1. Yours is apparently a -2. It does look like yours. It rings 18 times on the Sencore flyback range. Let me know soon. I'm going to get rid of a lot of my inventory of Predicta parts, or bury it somewhere in long term storage.
