This is a great ad. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Funny, I could not spot in the write up that the TV production was color. The ad did mention however that the wire insulation was made in bright Monsanto colors. |

Red Skelton's production company had some of the first color cameras in use in Hollywood, on CBS no less. As I understand it, he experimented with color on his show as early as 1956. I remember the annoucement about his show being in color back then, not every week, which I thought was strange. The announcer would say "Live, in color from Hollywood, the Red Skelton Show...."
