Identify this WGSF-TV camera
G'day all.
Been looking at the updates to the ETF site and they have posted a picture of WGSF-TV educational station http://www.earlytelevision.org/image...te_5-11-63.jpg and there is a peculiar looking vidicon camera in one of the photos which was loaned from WCET-TV. This camera somehow interests me because its enclosure looks to be that typically used by Marconi or PYE with the grilled air vents however I've not found any PYE/Marconi cameras matching this one plus WGSF being a US station it typically wouldn't use a British made camera unless it was a Marconi MK4. So out of curiosity I would like to know what brand/model is this vidicon camera? Was it a typical mass produced brand camera or was it a custom made camera made by WCET's engineering lab if they had one?

I don't know, but my first thought was Dage, who liked to use those vent-louver covers; but I can't find a picture of one with the viewfinder at the top. Dage was heavily into industrial and low-end studio gear.

Can't tell for sure if it's the same as this Dage camera, but it's close:
