Magnavox Newvicon image issues

Hi,
I bought Magnavox Newvicon camera off Ebay last week. It had the 13-pin connector cable I needed for my JVC Newvicon. Both cameras are almost identical. I also got an owners manual. The Ebay add said the magnavox camera was tested and worked. I got camera yesterday and hooked up the power last night. I didn't expect this to work too well and it didn't.
There isn't any color in a televised scene. The vertical televised raster is maybe 1/6 of a normal frame. The horizontal raster is just about normal.
The title maker format/editor works fine and fits the entire screen properly.
Are the vertical deflection circuits for newvicon tube at fault?
I'm sure there will be other reasons for the lack of color?
I'll post some pictures.
Ed

Pictures screen issues

The televised doll is barely visible in narrow raster.

I have had several image-tube-type cameras with various problems over the years, but never had any experience fixing them. Others here may have ideas.
