Another garage sale find from this summer...This Sony W-C290 Clock Radio (AM only) is really cool with it's 70's lounge look. Unlike similar designs from the days of shag carpeting and ABBA this actually shys away from orange or olive green and still looks contempory with it's chrome/white/blue styling and very conservative type font. It's also interesting to note the disclaimer on the dial "GENERAL TIME MOVEMENT/CLOCK U.S.A. DIAL JAPAN." I can almost see it sitting on a spaceport table in the movie 2001 ASO......
