Braun Msii
it is model MSII so it says on the back cover..I thought braun only made shavers..LOL
interesting it is from the mid 50's? the design on the front looks like it should be from the 90's.. its in nice shape..thats why i thought for sure it was mid to late 60's.. thanks! terry |

Hi
the avantgarde design made Braun get awards over awards for it. they were always a bit ahead... and if its MS 2 its been even more expensive, it was 585 Deutsche Mark. At that time this must have been a lot, because a Mark was 3x as worth as at the end... i guess this one isnn't in the MoMA, but other Braun-Gear is. look at compact-gear as Atelier-Series from 1958 or at TC20 from 1969, thats must been futuristic at that times and for me it still looks stylish.. I find the "MS3" listed in Sams Photofacts - #375, 1957. I'll see if I have that one.
Have to agree - a keeper! |

The thing that impresses me most about German radios is the quality of the cabinets. The Germans aren't really known for furniture making (in a general sense) but they out did themselves in the radio industry. I've looked at several brands and models, but all had pushbuttons that didn't work for some reason or another. That's a beautiful set Terry! Certainly a keeper-

Braun Musiktruhe
Wow, that's a beautiful piece you've got there! I'm into the German stuff myself. I own a couple of Grundigs which are very similar to the Brauns.
An excellent source of information on these things is: http://www.radiomuseum.org Have fun! - Wil
