OK, I watched it. His voice makes me want to poke ice picks in my ears...

That SS stick rectifier he pulled out looks exactly like the EDIs I used to use. I was skipping along the video so I didn't hear if he said what kind of rectifier it was.

I don't think this would be an issue with using stick rectifiers with the 16 necessarily, but just a substandard device that would fail in any color TV. That rect will probably still be able to replace a 1X3 series since the B&W requires less HV and current than the 21" color tube.

During the Christmas break, I'm going to see if I can find an EDI 3A3. If I can find it, I'll send it to you for experimentation if you want to screw with it.
