There are a bunch of these RCA old tube radios in working order, that I havent been able to plug in at the shops...

How does that Golen Tone sound? Anything special about it?

I used to own a Golden throat table radio. It ran an 8 inch speaker "pretty
damm big for a table model" It had a nice sound to it especially in the bass
region.

Here's something that was taken from a RCA ad in 49 that will tell a little
more about it.
