OK...what am I missing?

Tone arm wire for $70??:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/140712211183

I've got several packs of the same stuff - nothing special, Continental brand wire, 30 gauge, stranded, in 6 colors, approximately 8.5 feet of each color.
Is standed wire that expensive, or have the bidders lost their minds?

Cheers,

Perhaps it was just a typo -- decimal point in the wrong place and/or one too many zeros. I cannot imagine why anyone would even dream of selling a reel of ordinary stranded wire for anywhere near the price you mention, unless the wire was solid gold (!). I'd send the seller an e-mail first to verify the price.

I see this type of error (or ones like it) quite often elsewhere online as well; people just don't take the time to proofread and correct their typing before pressing "enter" to submit the material to the Web. Usually, you don't get second chances; once you press that key, that's it -- whatever you are trying to submit will now be on the web, with no chance of correcting errors.

It was listed at $15 and 5 bids were placed to run it up to $70. Seems someone wanted it real bad
