1986 RCA Color Trax TV
I have a 1986 RCA Color Trax Console TV. I bought it about 3 years ago from a Gentlemen whose Mother had passed away. I had it in a Repair Shop sometime after I purchased. The Tech. replaced some bad capacitors and soldered some bad connections. It has the CT 120 Chasis in it. The Model # is GLR689PR. I have never been able to turn the color up much as when you do the Blue Color Bleeds. Also, can't turn the Brightness up much compared to other Sets I have as the same problem occurs. All in all the picture isn't that bad, but just not as outstanding as some of my other sets.
The CRT# in it is a A63 ABP13X. Is this problem a sign of my CRT getting weak or was this a problem with this particular Set? |

Have you tried to do a gray scale ajust? Seems to me like you blue gun might be ajusted too high.

Odds are its the CRT. Best to get a manual & go
through the grey scale & G-2 adjustments & see if its better. Usually if the CRT is bad it will get better with warm up but not perfect. It will also look better with everything down in a dark room. Its one of those things that in person you can tell in a second with experience. 73 Zeno |
