1951 port hole
Guys I have a 1951 zenith porthole TV, I am looking for a good vintage TV repair man as i know nothing about fixing vintage electronics.
If anyone could point me to a good one near me i would really be thankful Near Flint Michigan Thanks Don Last edited by Rainner; 12-15-2014 at 05:35 PM. |

Your best bet is to look for a local collector since most TV repair shops won't even touch last gen CRT sets any more. There are some Michigan area collectors on these forums that should be able to help.

I sincerely hope you get yr Porthole cogitatin' again, of all my antique TVs & radios, my 12" 1949-50 Zenith Porthole garners the most "Oohs & Ahhs"... They are JUST so ODD looking to 2014-15 eyes.... Kids, especially gawk at 'em in bug-eyed, slack-jawed amazement.

I'm in Metamora, MI. I could look at it some time, see if the CRT and fly are in good shape and go from there...
