Well obviously if it has "10 Transistors", it isn't tube.

Great! Does it sound good? My mother, who grew up long before the age of high fidelity had one way of describing whether a radio or record player sounded good. She would say approvingly: "It has a good tone." Very pre-transistor lingo, but perhaps a decent compliment for a typical small radio.

I remember ads saying a particular unit had "full, rich sound."
Later it was "full, rich stereo sound."
