As far as going up in flames NEVER give up freedom for safety. The
odds are you will choke to death on a hot dog before this set will kill you.
It may not be worth any money but it comes from a different time &
country when quality & pride ruled. Display it with pride......

And thank you all for the assistance!
Those TVs looked very nice in the video, kind of makes me wish even more that I could get mine going, but I think mine is going to be really tricky to getgoing again, especially since I found out that my HV wire terminal going to the picture tube plug is broken and have I no idea how I'm going to fix that sucker.

You mean the connector that's under the rubber cup and the wire for it?

Heck, you could probably get something suitable from a junked 13" or smaller portable TV. I doubt the year or model would matter as long as it was the right size.

if all else failed you could probably craft one from a little piece of sheet metal and solder it to the wire.

nope, something like an actual pinout on the actual tube socket itself, this TVs picture tube doesn't use an anode cap, the high voltage anode is built into the tube socket itself, like shown in the pictures below.

Heck that looks like it can be fixed with a bit of solder, and maybe a dab of epoxy for good measure.

I thought about that but I don't have any way to hold the two pieces together for a clean solder job and I also don't have any epoxy left either...

I would like to get one of those but that's kind of out of my price range for the time being...
