Some Romanian tv sets
http://etimpu.com/2011/01/03/amintir...1-televizorul/
The "Orion" Soviet tv set isn't an "Orion" (b.t.w., this was an Hungarian brand, not an Soviet one), but a Soviet "Temp" 6: http://www.rw6ase.narod.ru/000/tw/temp67.html Another images: http://forum.softpedia.com/topic/671...#entry16345639 http://antique-tv-blazianu.pagespers...TV_Roumain.jpg Some videos with Romanian tv sets: http://forum.softpedia.com/topic/671...#entry16193309 An '90's comerical for "N.E.I." ("Network Elecronica International") (it's subtitled into English!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFqvI7q1oJg Last edited by Telecolor 3007; 12-27-2014 at 06:52 PM. |

why your homeland is called "Romania". My impression was, it would be a Slavic language, like most of the rest of eastern Europe. |

Romanina is influenced both by Latin language and Slavic Languages.
Hungarians are from Eastern-Europe and they are not Slavic. |

I have a clock radio here and it was made in Romania .
Which is a Tanglewood model 35TL05. The radio needs to be recapped. |

Seems strange to me how so many of these sets have the entire CRT face exposed. I noticed that with UK sets as well. Not sure what's holding their CRTs in.

I have two Grundig 19" color table models, made for the US market. Both sets have the protruding CRT's. They're Toshiba CRT's.

V.S. 54-612, the 2nd tv set assambled in Romania (it's an 1961 set, not '50's one): https://www.olx.ro/oferta/televizor-...tml#3228973c56
The compoments are French ("Thomson" I think). V.S. = Video Super 54 = diagonal (in centimeters; 54 c.m. = 21") 61 = year 1961 2 = model 2 from year 1961 (in 1961 we assambled the 1st tv's) So video super, 54 c.m.s. (21") diagonal, model 2 from year 1961. This formula of tv models was used up untill 1963 or 1964. By the way, V.S. 43-611 (metal case), V.S. 54-612 and V.S. 43-613, all with French compoments are one of the most rare tv sets in Romania (never ever seen an VS 43-613). |
